Letter Regarding Freedom Of Information Act request

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a follow up to my initial Freedom Of Information Act request that I sent to the Department of Education by email on Friday, April 15, 2011.

I am in receipt of a one-page letter dated January 3, 2011 which was the initial offer to Cathie Black by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.  I also received a follow-up email note yesterday from Mr. Storelli-Castro summarizing the information. While his response is interesting, it is not a substitute for documents.

My FOIL request was directed toward the City of New York's Department of Education, which I understand was the employer of Cathie Black during her brief tenure.  My request was for any and all information regarding the entire salary, benefits, and other compensation that New York City Schools Chancellor Cathie Black has received or will receive, including any severance or retirement benefits.  Should there be any portion of this request that is denied, please state the reasons for denying my request.

Aside from one sheet of paper, there must be more information about Cathie Black.  For example, what are the details of the "standard benefits package for at-will managerial employees of the Department of Education" that are mentioned in the January 3rd  letter to Cathie Black.

Instead of emailing me notes, I would like for the Department of Education to comply with my FOIL request and send me all of the documents requested.

Otherwise, I would like for the Department of Education to confirm that only one sheet of paper exists to entirely document Cathie Black's  hiring, termination, compensation and benefits received as Chancellor.

I'd hate to think that you are hiding anything.
