New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) is happy to announce that Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed the Senator’s fifth sponsored bill into law:
“Last week, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed my fifth sponsored piece of legislation into law (S.333/A.7007). Although it is easy enough for legislators to submit bills for consideration, it is not always easy for those of us who are not in the Majority to be effective legislators and get our bills passed and signed into law.
I celebrate that five of my sponsored bills have been approved in both the Senate and the Assembly, and signed into law by the Governor during the 2011 Session.
I deeply appreciate the efforts of my colleagues in the Legislature and the support of Governor Cuomo to support the bills I sponsored. These new laws will help my constituents in the 32nd Senatorial District and people throughout New York State to live in safer and stronger communities.”
