Albany, N.Y., June 15—State Senator Tom O’Mara (R-C, Big Flats) today released the following statement on Chemung County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeffrey Alexander, whose memorial service will be held later today and funeral tomorrow morning in Elmira:
“Chemung County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeffrey Alexander served the residents of Chemung County with courage and loyalty, and he upheld the highest and the best ideals of law enforcement everywhere. Our thoughts and prayers will remain with the family, friends and fellow officers of Deputy Alexander. We hope they can find some comfort in knowing that Jeffrey’s example of commitment, friendship, compassion and principle will carry on and endure in the hearts and minds of so many.”
