BUFFALO, N.Y. – Senator Timothy M. Kennedy, D-58th District, invites students to apply for an internship in his office. An internship in Senator Kennedy’s office will provide qualified students with the opportunity to gain valuable, first-hand experience in working to build a stronger and more prosperous future in Western New York and across the state. Openings are available in the Western New York and Albany offices.
“It is an honor to represent our community and to spend every day working to push Western New York forward along the path to prosperity,” Senator Kennedy said. “As we fight to restore greatness to the Empire State, I encourage motivated, young Western New Yorkers, who are ready to make a difference in our community, to join us in our work.”
There are full-time and part-time unpaid internships available in Senator Kennedy’s office during the summer, fall and spring semesters. Interns will have opportunities to get involved in a variety of activities including: supporting media affairs and community outreach efforts, assisting with constituent relations, conducting legislative and issue-oriented research and executing administrative tasks. A limited number of internships are available each semester.
To apply for an internship in either the Western New York or the Albany office, send a resume, cover letter and 1-2 page writing sample to Rachael Homewood via email at homewood@nysenate.gov or by mail at 2239 South Park Ave., Buffalo, NY 14220.
