BUFFALO, N.Y. – Senator Timothy M. Kennedy, D-58th District, will host a clean-up of South Park Avenue on Saturday, May 28, starting at 9 a.m. at his office located at 2239 South Park Avenue. Volunteers are needed to help with the effort to clean up the Avenue from Bailey to Dorrance.
Senator Kennedy is looking for volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to help with everything from picking up trash to maintaining trees and green spaces.
"South Park Avenue looks great after all of the construction and revitalization work. This community clean up event will make it look even better," Senator Kennedy said. "If you're free Saturday morning, we're looking for more help with our South Park Avenue clean up project. Even an hour of volunteering will go a long way toward getting the neighborhood ready for the summer."
If interested in volunteering, or if you need more information, please call Senator Kennedy’s office at 716-826-2683.
A variety of organizations, including South Buffalo CREW and South Buffalo Alive, have already signed up to assist with this effort. Participating in the clean-up can help fulfill students' coursework requirements for volunteer hours.
