The Holiday Toy Store for Sandy Relief opened by Where to Turn and Senator Lanza on December 8th has already distributed over 2,000 toys to families impacted by Sandy.
The store, located at 3948 Amboy Road in space donated by ATU Local 726, will remain open every day through Christmas Eve.
Parents can present a FEMA # and photo ID and pick up two toys per child (maximum six per family) along with stocking stuffers daily from Noon to 7:00 PM.
We are scheduled to receive 1,000 Hess trucks from the Hess Corporation and 20 Christmas Trees from Gold and Fish.We are hoping to get the word out to as many families impacted by Sandy so that they may take advantage of the store.
We are expecting additional toys and will attempt to distribute all in our inventory. All toys being distributed have been donated and the store is staffed completely by volunteers. We are also supplying toys to other Sandy Holiday events in need.
