Staten Island's Six FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Open Thanksgiving Day

Staten Island's six FEMA disaster recovery centers will be operating from 8 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving Day.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster recovery centers (DRCs) include a myriad of services for those who suffered losses during Hurricane Sandy. They include:
•Clarification of any written correspondence received.
•Answers to questions, resolution to problems and referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance.
•Small Business Association (SBA) program information if there is a SBA representative at the particular location.
•Guidance regarding disaster recovery.
•Housing assistance and rental resource information.
•Status of applications being processed by FEMA.
DRCs will resume normal operating hours on Friday:
Disaster Restoration Centers
(KIA of Staten Island), 1976 Hylan Boulevard, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Miller Field, 600 New Dorp Lane, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mount Manresa Jesuit House, 239 Fingerboard Rd., 8 a.m to 8 p.m.
Corner of Father Capodanno & Hunter avenues, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mount Loretto, 6581 Hylan Blvd. 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Borough Hall, 10 Richmond Terr., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
