Senate Passes Fuschillo Resolutions Honoring Massapequa Park Eagle Scouts

Charles J. Fuschillo Jr.

February 22, 2012

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that the New York State Senate recently passed legislative resolutions he sponsored honoring Massapequa Park residents Paul Engle, Christopher Valenti and Robert Duffy for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.

“Earning scouting’s highest rank is an achievement that only a select few ever attain. Through years of hard work and community service, Paul, Christopher and Robert have distinguished themselves as leaders who are more than worthy to be called Eagle Scouts. I congratulate them on earning this honor and am pleased that their accomplishments were recognized by the New York State Senate,” said Senator Fuschillo.

Paul, a member of Troop 776 and Christopher and Robert, both members of Troop 660, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout after many years of hard work rising through scouting’s ranks, following the ideals of scouting, and planning, developing, and executing a community service project. The legislative resolutions noted that the three scouts have “lived up to scouting’s ideals” and that their perseverance in attaining this accomplishment will enable them to “emerge as a leader, fully equipped to meet the challenges of today’s complex society.”

With the Senate passage of the legislative resolution, Paul, Robert, and Christopher’s names and achievements will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
