Senator Fuschillo Announces Department of Financial Services Help Center Open in Merrick to Assist Residents Affected by Hurricane Sandy

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that the New York State Department of Financial Services has set up a Hurricane Sandy Response Center in Merrick to assist residents and business owners who were affected by the storm.
Department of Financial Services representatives will be at the Merrick Jewish Centre, located at 225 Fox Boulevard in Merrick, between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm every day until further notice.
Residents and business owners who need assistance with storm-related insurance issues will be able to speak individually with a Department of Financial Services representative. The program is open to everyone.
Individuals who are unable to visit the help center in person but need assistance can call the Department of Financial Services’ storm assistance consumer helpline at 1-800-339-1759.
