Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Chatterton Elementary School in Merrick to thank students and staff for once again participating in his “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive that Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center. The new, unwrapped toys collected by Chatterton Elementary School will be delivered to the hospital after New Year’s Day so that children can experience the joys of receiving a new toy after the holiday season and throughout the year.
“The toys collected by Chatterton’s students and staff will bring smiles to the faces of many children who are in need of a little extra cheer. I thank them for participating in this program and doing an outstanding job once again,” said Senator Fuschillo.
