Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently celebrated the opening of a new community playground for students at the Seaford Harbor School.
The Seaford Harbor School PTA raised the money needed to construct the new playground, which needed to replace the old playground that had been taken down for safety reasons. The playground is designed with features such as counting areas, bells and chimes, and moveable sections to help enhance children’s learning skills in a fund way.
Senator Fuschillo (back row, fourth from right) joined with Assemblyman David McDonough, Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Councilwoman Angie Cullin, and Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg in helping Superintendent Brian Conboy, Principal Donna DeLucia-Troisi, and members of the Board of Education in unveiling the new playground to the students and parents attending the ceremony.
