Charles J. Fuschillo Jr.
July 11, 2012
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that the New York State Senate recently passed a legislative resolution he sponsored honoring Farmingdale resident Matthew Ciullo for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
“This is an exceptional achievement by an exceptional young man. Becoming an Eagle Scout requires years of hard work and community service, which is why only a select few ever attain it. Matthew’s devotion to community service and scouting, strong work ethic, and leadership qualities have helped him earn this prestigious honor,” said Senator Fuschillo. “I’m proud to congratulate him on becoming an Eagle Scout and am pleased that his accomplishment was recognized by the New York State Senate.”
Matthew, a member of Troop 46, has devoted years to serving the community and working towards scouting’s highest rank, including completion of a community service project. For his community service project, Matthew built two new horseshoe pits, two park benches, and one bocce ball court as part of a recreation area at the Smith Point Campground for residents to enjoy.
With the passage of this resolution, Matthew’s achievements will forever be of the official record of the New York State Legislature.
