Senator Fuschillo, Long Island Cares, & Mayor Hardwick Sponsor Program in Freeport to Help Families in Need Following Hurricane Sandy

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), Long Island Cares, and Freeport Mayor Andrew Hardwick recently joined together in sponsoring a free food and supply distribution program to help families affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The program brought thousands of pounds of free food, water and supplies to the Village to help families recover from the storm.  Senator Fuschillo, Mayor Hardwick, and representatives from Long Island Cares distributed non-perishable food, water, cleaning supplies, baby products, paper goods, and cooking utensils to residents in need.   

“We wanted to lend families a helping hand as they rebuild and recover from the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.  This program helped make life a little easier for many individuals who are going through tough times.  I thank Long Island Cares and Mayor Hardwick and the Village of Freeport for joining me in sponsoring this program,” said Senator Fuschillo.
