Senator Fuschillo & Long Island Cares to Sponsor Food Distribution Program in Copiague to Help Families Affected by Hurricane Sandy

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Long Island Cares will be partnering together in sponsoring a free mobile food distribution program in Copiague to help residents affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The program will take place on Tuesday, December 4th from 11 am to 2 pm at the Copiague Library, located at 50 Deauville Boulevard in Copiague. Thousands of pounds of food, water, and supplies will be brought to the Library to serve the victims of Hurricane Sandy who are in need.
Residents will be able to obtain the following items free of charge:
• Non-perishable food items
• Cereal
• Protein bars
• Water
• Diapers & baby wipes
• Cleaning products
• Paper goods (napkins, paper towels, & toilet paper)
• Housewares & Cookware
• Pet food
• Children’s Coats and school supplies
Individuals will be served on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are required.
