Senator Fuschillo, Long Island Cares, & Village of Freeport to Sponsor Food Distribution Program to Help Hurricane Sandy Victims

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), Long Island Cares, and Mayor Andrew Hardwick and the Village of Freeport will be partnering together in sponsoring a free mobile food distribution program in Freeport to help residents affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The program will take place on Thursday, December 6th from 11 am to 2 pm at the corner of Woodcleft Avenue and Front Street at the beginning of the Nautical Mile in Freeport. Thousands of pounds of food, water, and supplies will be brought in to serve the victims of Hurricane Sandy who are in need.
Residents will be able to obtain the following items free of charge:
- Non-perishable food items
- Water
- Diapers & baby wipes
- Cleaning products
- Paper goods (napkins, paper towels, & toilet paper)
- Children’s coats and school supplies
Individuals will be served on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are required.
