Senator Fuschillo & Supervisor Schaffer Sponsor Free Legal Services Program in North Amityville

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently sponsored a program to provide free legal services to those in need.

     Senator Fuschillo and Supervisor Schaffer arranged to bring the Mobile Legal Help Center, which is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the New York state Office of Court Administration, to Bolden Mack Park in North Amityville. NYLAG attorneys provided free advice, legal counseling, and direct representation to local residents on matters such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and Social Security Disability.

     Residents who were unable to attend the free legal services program but would like additional information can call NYLAG at 212-613-5000.
