Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Fayette Elementary School in North Merrick to thank students and staff for once again participating in his “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive that Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center. The new, unwrapped toys collected by Fayette Elementary School will be delivered to the hospital after New Year’s Day so that children can experience the joys of receiving a new toy after the holiday season and throughout the year.
“Nothing brightens a child’s spirits like the gift of a new toy. Through their hard work and generosity, Fayette’s students and staff will put smiles on the faces of many children. I thank them for once again participating in this program,” said Senator Fuschillo.
