Senator Fuschillo Thanks Local Residents for Donating Over 1,000 Pounds of Food to His Holiday Food Drive

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) today thanked local residents for donating over 1,000 pounds of food as part of the holiday food drive he sponsored with Island Harvest.
The over 1,000 pounds of food collected through the program will be used by Island Harvest to help the over 283,000 Long Islanders affected by hunger.
“This tremendous outpouring of community support will help lend a hand to many families in their time of need. I thank everyone who donated food for their generosity and for making this program a tremendous success,” said Senator Fuschillo.
Senator Fuschillo also thanked students at Baldwin High School for organizing a collection drive in their school, as well as the following libraries for participating in the program by serving as drop-off locations:

* Massapequa Library
* North Bellmore Library
* North Merrick Library
* Roosevelt Library
* Seaford Library
* Wantagh Library
