Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Mepham High School in Bellmore to extend his thanks for their continued support of his “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive that Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center. Mepham students once again collected new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. These toys will be delivered to the hospital after New Year's Day so that children can experience the joys of receiving a new toy after the holiday season and throughout the year.
“Year after year, Mepham’s students and staff continue to display their overwhelming generosity, helping provide children in the hospital with a bit of holiday cheer. I greatly appreciate their efforts and thank them for once again helping to put smiles on the faces of many children,” Senator Fuschillo said.
