Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently partnered with the Merrick Lions Club in sponsoring a program at the Merrick train station where residents could donate their old eyeglasses and hearing aids . Over 1,000 old eyeglasses and hearing aids were collected through the program.
All the eyeglasses and hearing aids collected through the program will be used by the Lions Club to help improve the lives of needy children and adults who cannot afford glasses or hearing aids.
“The outpouring of generosity through this program was incredible and will make a difference in many lives. I thank the Merrick Lions Club for partnering with me in sponsoring this program and all the residents who participated,” said Senator Fuschillo.
