Senator Skelos, Senator Fuschillo, Town of Hempstead & Long Island Cares to Sponsor Free Food & Supply Distribution Program in Baldwin to Help Residents Affected by Hurricane Sandy

Senator Dean G. Skelos (R-Rockville Centre), Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray, Councilmembers Anthony Santino and Dorothy Goosby, and Long Island Cares will be partnering together in sponsoring free mobile food & supply distribution program in Baldwin to help residents affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The program will take place on Tuesday, January 8th between 11 am and 2 pm at Baldwin Park, located at 3232 South Grand Avenue in Baldwin. Residents who were affected by Hurricane Sandy will be able to obtain the following items through the program free of charge:
· Non-perishable food items
· Water
· Cleaning supplies, gloves, and masks
· Heaters
· Blankets
Individuals will be served on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are required.
