Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence Thanks Senator Fuschillo for Supporting Programs to Assist Domestic Violence Victims

Members from the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence recently met with Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) to thank him for supporting assistance programs for victims of domestic violence.
Senator Fuschillo secured $25,000 in state funding for the coalition to provide support services to domestic violence victims, including individual and group counseling for adults and children affected by family violence.
“Domestic violence is a crime that affects far too many families. The Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence is an invaluable resource which helps provide domestic violence victims with support and assistance. I’m pleased to have secured this funding to help them continue to offer these important services,” said Senator Fuschillo.
“Senator Fuschillo’s on-going commitment to providing safety to the community is evident through his continued support of the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The state funding will allow the Coalition to continue its counseling services to adults and children affected by family violence,” said Jo Anne Mitidieri Sanders, the Coalition’s Executive Director.
The Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence Inc. is a not-for-profit 501 (C) (3) organization which has been providing services to victims domestic violence in Suffolk County since 1976. The Coalition offers a wide variety of services, including a 24-hour hotline, counseling, educational programs, and legal services for victims.
