“Without question these are some of the best prizes the 3-on-3 has ever offered,” said Marvin Lee Tournament Vice-Chairman adding, “the response from the Knicks, Nets, Mets and Yankees has been truly extraordinary. The prizes will surely please everyone.”
The Yankees, Mets, Liberty, Red Bulls and Rough Riders have donated game tickets to games. The Brooklyn Nets have donated autographed basketballs, autographed sneakers from players, collectible hats and “Mini Net Balls” for tournament players.
“The grand prize for our college division is out of this world,” said Tournament Vice-Chairman Ian Feurtado noting, “Jet Blue is a great partner with the Senator Martins Classic and donated 4 round trip tickets anywhere in the continental United States as a grand prize. There’s no doubt that the competition will be fierce and fun. ”
Dillon Williams, former All County Basketball Star from Elmont Memorial High School and current Dowling College Basketball shooting guard, announced the Magnet Challenge Division grand prize of 4 diamond watches for tournament winners of the High School 11th and 12th grade division. “The Magnet Challenge is going to be real exciting to watch. Magnet Sports Lounge is really proud to not only be part of the greater community, but to support our young people in this great day with Senator Martins.”
Senator Jack Martins, the sponsor of the tournament, noted, “the excitement that is building for the 3-on-3 is incredible. Everywhere you go, our young people are buzzing about the day. I can’t wait for the opening tip-off and am very proud of the effort the tournament committee and volunteers.”
