It's hard to believe that the holidays are quickly approaching and it's time once again for the Senator Jack Martins Thanksgiving Essay Contest. The contest is open to all sixth grade students who are asked to write an essay, "What Are You Most Thankful For?"
Senator Martins started the contest last year and it was a big success as the sixth grade students who participated did an incredible job of putting Thanksgiving into perspective.
Submissions can be made electronically via nysenate.gov or mailed to Senator Jack M. Martins District Office, 151 Herricks Road, Suite 202, Garden City Park, NY 11040. Submissions will accepted through Thanksgiving. One essay will be chosen from each of the participating schools for its creativity, thoughtfulness, and overall message.
If you decide to mail in your entry, you can download a form below.
One winner will be chosen from each school and recognized at a reception in December. Looking forward to reading your essay!
