Youth Group From Temple Sinai of Roslyn Visits Albany to Discuss Problem of Bullying

Senator Jack M. Martins welcomed Rabbi Michael White, members of the professional staff and a group of young leaders from Temple Sinai of Roslyn in Roslyn Heights to Albany. Rabbi White and the young men and women visited the State Capitol to speak about issues that are important to the youth, including bullying and cyberbullying, which Rabbi White called a “corrosive epidemic.”

“I was extremely impressed with the young leaders from the Temple Sinai community. By coming to Albany to discuss bullying and cyberbullying, they showed their care for all young people throughout the state,” Senator Martins said. "Bullying, in any form, should not be tolerated. Those who would bully a classmate need to be made aware of the damage they can cause other families. I want to thank the young men and women from Temple Sinai for recognizing this problem and raising awareness.”

Senator Martins invited Rabbi White to deliver the invocation in the Senate Chamber prior to the Tuesday, April 17 Senate session. Rabbi White eloquently delivered the invocation with the youth group in attendance.
