ONEONTA, 12/05/12 – State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) today commented on the announcement of a bipartisan partnership to govern the New York State Senate:
“Ensuring New York offers opportunities for future success – that’s what residents of the 51st senate district want and that’s what I care about. The new bipartisan leadership coalition will produce those opportunities.
“I have already partnered with Governor Cuomo and colleagues on both sides of the aisle to end Albany dysfunction and produce real results. The property tax cap, back to back on-time state budgets, new investments on our SUNY campuses, and low cost power to help create jobs are just a few of our recent success stories. Now, I look forward to further accomplishments.
“My top three priorities as we prepare to embark on the 2013 legislative session are cutting taxes, reducing state spending, and creating an economic environment favorable to job growth. I am confident that this bipartisan governing coalition will lead to meaningful results in those key areas.”
