The Bronx, NY – On Wednesday, November 14th at the Hutchinson Metro Center at 1200 Waters Place in The Bronx, NY, Senator Klein will host a job fair exclusively for our nation’s veterans. At the event, over 30 New York and Bronx based employers will reach out to veterans about current openings at their company or institution. To maximize the use of each veteran’s time, Senator Klein has only invited those employers who currently have job opportunities available and are actively seeking to employ our returning vets.
Some of the employers will even be conducting on-the-spot interviews. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to attend workshops aimed at improving resume writing and interviewing skills. The jobs fair promises to be a great networking event for all veterans, so all of those who qualify are encouraged to attend.
Since being elected to public office Senator Klein has continually sought ways to employ veterans and to more effectively communicate their incredible skills to the business community. Over the past year, Senator Klein and other members of his conference have held several roundtables with young veterans across the state. These roundtables, which have been widely reported in the press, have sought to “connect the dots” between private sector employers and our country’s returning soldiers.
All attendees should come prepared to present military identification at the door. We look forward to seeing you there.
