The Long Island Delegation of the New York State Senate recently joined together in the Senate Chamber to support Stony Brook Seawolves baseball team who recently advanced to the College World Series.  The team is the first from New York to make it to the College World Series since 1980 and the first from the Northeast region since 1986.

Wearing Stony Brook Seawolves baseball hats and flashing the team’s signature “OK” sign, (from left to right) Jack Martins (7th Senate District), Charles Fuschillo (8th Senate District), Kenneth LaValle (1st Senate District), Owen Johnson (4th Senate District), Lee Zeldin (3rd Senate District), John Flanagan (2nd Senate District), Dean Skelos (9th Senate District), Kemp Hannon (6th Senate District) and Carl Marcellino (5th Senate District) showed their pride in the Long Island team and sent their best wishes for success to all the Stony Brook coaches and players for the upcoming tournament in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Seawolves face the UCLA Bruins on Friday, June 15 at 5:00 pm to begin their quest for the College World Series title.
