(New York, NY)- Senator Serrano was invited to speak at the HELP/PSI 2012 Graduation and Celebration of Accomplishments Ceremony. The ceremony, which had approximately 500 attendees, was held at the Holiday Inn in Manhattan. HELP/PSI's health care facilities provide comprehensive medical, mental health, social work, and substance abuse treatment services to people living with AIDS. The annual HELP/PSI graduation and induction of honorees celebrates those who have completed the programs that all of the treatment facilities provide.
"I am proud to stand here during this momentous occasion before the 2012 HELP/PSI graduates," said Senator Serrano. "The journey that these graduates have traveled is truly admirable. Breaking the dangerous cycle of addiction is not easy; it takes courage and strong will. I would like to acknowledge the great work HELP/PSI does in ensuring that our at-risk and underserved population receives the services they need to get on the path of recovery."
