Come and Learn to be Prepared!
Community Emergency Response Teams
CERT
CERT prepares citizens to help themselves, their co-workers and their neighbors during
times of emergency. In this course citizens will learn how to:
turn on/off utilities, extinguish small fires, perform light search and rescue, organize to respond,
utilize neighborhood volunteers effectively, collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts,
basic emergency medical service including opening airways, controlling bleeding and treating for shock.
This training will teach you how to prepare for and deal with all types of natural and manmade disasters.
This class is available for all Greece residents.
Where: Ridge Road Fire District Headquarters

Class Times:
Tuesday October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Thursday November 8, 2012
Tuesday November 13, 2012
All class times: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM each night
The total class time is 21 hours. Students need to attend all sessions to truly be prepared.
