Griffo Honors Marolyn P. Wilson as 2012 Woman of Distinction
(Albany) – NY State Senator Joseph A. Griffo announced that Marolyn P. Wilson of Whitesboro, has been honored as a 2012 Woman of Distinction.
Ms.Wilson is best known as one of the owners of Holland Farms Bakery and Deli in Marcy, NY.
The New York State Senate's "Woman of Distinction" program was created in 1998 to honor New York women who exemplify personal excellence, or whose professional achievements, acts of courage, selflessness, integrity or perseverance serve as an example to all New Yorkers.
The 'Women of Distinction' program was created as part of the Senate's celebration of Women's History Month. Last week, in a ceremony in the Legislative Office Building, the Senate honored exceptional achievement, personal excellence and outstanding, courageous, and heroic actions on the part of individual women from across the state. Each honoree's photograph and biography has become part of a special exhibit proclaiming the unique
