BROOKLYN’S 6th ANNUAL SENIOR IDOL FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

Senator Golden, “…a night of laughter, of tears and true fun in our neighborhood…”

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that eleven finalists have been selected to compete in Brooklyn’s 6th Annual Senior Idol to be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Xaverian High School, 7100 Shore Road, Brooklyn.

 

Senator Marty Golden stated, “We are less than two weeks away from what is now a very popular Brooklyn tradition, Senior Idol. This year, we again have another list of performers who have great talent and will be sure to entertain the crowd. If you are looking for a night of laughter, tears, and true fun right in our neighborhood, don’t miss the show.”

 

The finalists, who auditioned for the show in September, and the songs they will sing, are as follows:

 

David Vann “I Guess It Doesn’t Matter Anymore”

Audret Melikian “I Could Have Danced All Night”

Hector Gonzales “Cara Mia Mine”

Victoria Keller “I Believe I Can Fly”

Andrew Gandolfo “Travelin’ Man”

Irene Dobronski “Mamma Said”

Vincent Frisari “Nessun Dorma”

Jennifer Guido “Everyday I Have The Blues”

Sherry Kayser “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do”

Anthony D’Augusta “Hallelujiah, I Love Her So”

Gagz Danzo “Mac The Knife”

 

The program will also feature a performance by 2011 winner Eddie Gentile. Radio legend Joe Franklin will serve as the contest Master of Ceremonies, and a panel of judges, including New York Radio Personality Jim Kerr, will help choose Brooklyn’s 6th Senior Idol. The winner will be selected through the votes of the audience and the judges.

 

Tickets for the event are $10.00 and can only be purchased at the door, with all proceeds to benefit the Xaverian High School Music Scholarship Fund and to purchase new instruments to support the Xaverian High School music program.
