Greetings from the 61st Precinct Commanding Officer:
Martin J. Golden
October 29, 2012
I would like to thank everyone for their support and cooperation during the past few days. I would also like to remind everyone that if they know of any critical care patients that may need immediate assistance, please call 911.
I would like to take this opportunity to update the community regarding street closures. Due to the rising water and flooding in the Sheepshead Bay area, Emmons Avenue will be closed in both the east bound and west bound directions. Motorists who must travel will be directed to use the Belt Parkway service roads (Shore Parkway).
Also, due to flooding in the Manhattan Beach Area, Shore Blvd is will be rendered impassable and will be closed to vehicles. Those who must enter the Manhattan Beach area will be directed to due so via south bound West End Ave to Oriental Blvd. Residents, family members and Menorah Employees who need to enter the area will identified and allowed to do so by the police officers in the area.
Please share the above information with your family, friends and constituents.
Sincerely,
Captain John Chell
61st Precinct Commanding Officer
