Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is again urging neighborhood residents to contact the authorities with information that can help solve the two recent murders of Brooklyn business owners Mohammed Gebeli and Isaac Kadare. Senator Golden is offering a $5000 reward in each case.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “The murders of these two business owners trying to fulfill the American dream and provide for their family, has devastated two families, and has shocked, saddened and put on alert the Southwest Brooklyn community. I continue to speak with the New York City Police Department as the investigations continue and have been assured of an increased police presence. We must solve these murders.”
Golden continued, “My sympathies are with the Kadare and Gebeli families at this time. For the sake of these families and for the safety of all, I again encourage anyone who may have witnessed something to contact the authorities. All information is important to solve crimes such as these.”
Senator Golden joined the family and community in mourning the death of Isaac Kadare yesterday afternoon. Last week, Golden joined with members of the Gebeli Family outside the Valentino Fashion on 5th Avenue, the store that Mohammed Gebeli owned, to again announce the $5000 reward and continue to ask anyone with information to contact the authorities.
Senator Golden’s reward to help solve the murder of Isaac Kadare adds to the $5000 offered by Councilman David Greenfield and the Sephardic Community Federation. A local Bay Ridge business owner, Habib Joudeh, has contributed $5000 along with Senator Golden’s $5000 reward, to help solve the July 6th murder of Mohammed Gebeli.
Anyone with information is asked to call the 62nd Precinct at (718) 236-2611 or the 68th Precinct at (718) 439-4211, or Senator Golden’s office at (718) 238-6044, or visit the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
