Senator Golden Secures Over $400,000 in Grants for Local Schools

Money to Improve Technology and Infrastructure at Local Schools
Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that he has secured more than $400,000 in State funding for eight schools in his district to support infrastructure and technology requests made by the schools earlier this year.
Senator Golden will be awarding funding to the following schools:
Intermediate School 228 for laptops for special education classes
P.S./I.S. 229 for Smartboards and cameras
Intermediate School 259 – for a Laptop Cart
Public School 102 – for bathroom renovations
Public School 186 – for Smartboards
Intermediate School 201- for wiring of auditorium air conditioning system
Public School 222 - for Smartboards
Public School 247 – for Laptop Cart
Senator Marty Golden stated, “I am proud to have been able to secure this funding to support the technological and structural needs of our local schools. There is nothing more important than making sure that our students have the best facilities and the most up to date technology available so they can be educated in a top rate environment.”
Senator Golden continued, “I look forward to working with our schools in the future to continue to support their programs and needs. Our schools are among the best in the New York City and I am confident that every day, the students of my district are getting the best education possible because we have the best teachers, staff and administrators.”
