Senator Golden: "Still Time to Catch a Great Show This Summer in the Park"

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), with the South West Brooklyn Parks Task Force, today is reminding local residents that there is still time to see a great concert in the park this summer, and is highlighting his planned "Family Day" event.
The concerts continue tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. as Risky Business, plays all of the favorite oldies at 79th Street and Shore Road. This Wednesday, August 15th, “Out of the Blue” will entertain the crowd in Marine Park, at Fillmore Avenue, with the classic rock and dance music.
Senator Golden stated, “I am proud to be hosting another great line up of concerts this summer and invite music fans and neighbors to attend the awesome shows that are left on the schedule. So don't miss the remaining shows and join us for "Family Day", our last event of the season. Our local parks are alive with classic rock, dance, and the greatest hits of all time. Be part of these good times.”
The remainder of the 2012 Summer Concerts schedule is as follows:
August 14 Risky Business (All your favorite oldies) 79th St & Shore Road
August 15 Out of the Blue(Classic Rock and Dance) Marine Park (Fillmore Ave.)
August 17 City Sounds(Oldies, Dance and more) Parkville (65th above 8th Ave.)
August 21 On A Good Run Band (Classic Rock) 79th St & Shore Road
August 22 Family Day (Rides, Games, Karaoke, etc.) McKinley Park (75th St & FHP)
The events are supported by Tracey Real Estate, Flushing Bank, the Bay Ridge Manor, Approved Energy, Northfield Bank, Lifetime Vending and Amusements.
Concerts are free and open to the public and all concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. Note the August 22nd Family Day event is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. In case of poor weather or for more information, please call Senator Golden’s office at (718) 238-6044.
