Continuing his strong commitment to protecting the environment and keeping hazardous electronic waste out of our communities, Senator Mike Nozzolio is proud to announce that he will be partnering with Time Warner Cable to host a Free electronic recycling event on Saturday, October 27th at Finger Lakes Racetrack. Members of the public are invited to drop off their old electronics and small appliances for recycling at no cost. Volunteers will be on hand to unload all vehicles and direct traffic.
“Here in the Finger Lakes region, we have some of the most beautiful and priceless natural resources in the world. Our area supports a vibrant tourism industry, an amazing wine region, and is home to a diverse ecosystem. It is my belief that we must do everything possible to protect all the Finger Lakes as well as their watersheds from hazardous electronic waste,” said Senator Nozzolio.
Items that will be accepted for recycling include: computers (desktops & laptops), printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, televisions (CRT, LCD, LED, plasma), cell phones, IT & networking equipment, medical & lab equipment, communications equipment, phones, servers, monitors (CRT, LCD, LED), MP3 players, PDA's, tablets, ink and toner cartridges, and anything else with a circuit board or cord.
“We are proud to partner with Senator Nozzolio to bring this event to residents of Ontario County and the Finger Lakes. Senator Mike Nozzolio and Time Warner Cable share a strong commitment to protecting the environment and keeping electronic waste out of our waterways and landfills,” said Chris Mueller of Time Warner Cable.
