New Executive Director of NSLIJ Southside Hospital Donna Moravick

Senator Owen H. Johnson recently met with new Executive Director of NSLIJ Southside Hospital Donna Moravick to congratulate her on her new position and to discuss upcoming projects at the hospital that will benefit the community.

As the new Executive Director of Southside, Ms. Moravick is responsible for daily operations at the hospital and works with its management team to enhance clinical and patient services. Previously, she was the vice president of cardiovascular services for North Shore-LIJ, responsible for managing cardiovascular and thoracic surgery across the health system. 

She was instrumental in extending North Shore-LIJ’s cardiac surgery program to Southside in February 2011. She joined North Shore University Hospital in 1981 as a staff nurse in the surgical intensive care unit. She began working in cardiac services in 1993 as a nurse clinician for cardiac surgery.  She has a master’s degree in nursing from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University.
