FREE EVENT AUG. 21 TO SAY 'THANK YOU'
State Senator Patty Ritchie is inviting volunteer firefighters, EMS, search and rescue, and all first responders and their families to a special Volunteer Appreciation Day barbecue, to be held Tuesday, August 21, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Town of Cape Vincent Recreation Park.
The event is free, and open to volunteers from Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties.
“Every day, men and women from our communities sacrifice their time and put themselves in harm’s way to protect our property, and save lives,” Senator Ritchie said. “I am hosting this event as a simple ‘thank you’ for all their efforts.”
The event will feature free hot dogs and hamburgers, soft drinks and family entertainment.
Preregistration is required, by clicking here, or by calling 782-3418.
