Senator Ritchie Meets WITH Workforce Investment Institute

Discusses Ways To Help Increase Job Opportunities

State Senator Patty Ritchie met with Workforce Investment Institute Regional Director Greg Hart of Massena to discuss ways to help workers and increase employment opportunities in Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties.

The Workforce Investment Institute works with employers, unions and educational institutions across the region to provide training assistance for workers to help companies stay competitive in the global economy.

The Workforce Investment Institute has been working with the Workforce Investment Board and others to identify and provide training opportunities to U.S. citizens interested in working at dairy farms and other agricultural employment opportunities.

Senator Ritchie also discussed other challenges and opportunities facing Northern and Central New York businesses and manufacturers.
