First “African American Abrazo in New York”
Bronx, NY-Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz, will celebrate the First “African American Abrazo “Embrace” in New York.” This event is in honor of Black History Month and the contributions of African-Americans to our community.
This event, by invitation only, will take place at Maestros Caterer’s located at 1703 Bronxdale Avenue, Bronx, New York, today, Friday, February 24, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
New York State Senate, Senator Rubén Díaz, together with Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz, Jr., and other elected officials will honor, Lt. Colonel Floyd J. Carter with the Valor Award, Hon. Aurelia Green, Deputy Bronx Boro President with the Public Service Award, Rev. Albert Bush, Pastor of The Walker Memorial Baptist Church with the Faith Leadership Award, Ms. Edith Hicks, retired school teacher with the Education Award and Mr. Warren E. Williams, NYS Peace Officer with the Youth Leadership Award.
