PLAN TUESDAY EVENING RALLY FOR JUSTICE
New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) and New York State Assemblyman Eric Stevenson (D-Bronx) will hold a Rally for Justice on today, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 5:00 PM at the grocery store located on the corner of Freeman and Prospect Avenues in the Bronx, the site where two teenage girls were shot on Sunday night. They will be joined by religious and community leaders.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the two teenagers and their families,” stated Senator Rev. Diaz. “We are calling upon our religious and civic leaders to join forces and put an end to the gun violence that continues to plague our community.”
“This recent act of violence is deplorable, and I remain hopeful that both teens recover fully,” stated Assemblyman Stevenson. “I urge anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. “
