As Hurricane Sandy bears down on the Empire State, it is absolutely critical that local families throughout the Hudson Valley take every possible step to stay informed and keep safe.
Under no circumstances should anyone underestimate the potential impact of this storm.
Make no mistake -- Sandy's heavy rains and extremely high winds pose very serious and potentially life-threatening risks to our region, and the potential for flooding and widespread power outages is very real. All residents are urged to pay close attention to the storm’s progress at all times, and to use common sense throughout the storm to remain safe and let emergency responders, public work and utility crews do their jobs.
