In recognition of his commitment to promoting fiscal reform and improving the state’s economic climate, Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) received a 90% pro-jobs rating as part of the Business Council of New York State’s 2012 Voters’ Guide.
The Business Council of New York State recently released its 2012 Voters’ Guide, which measures New York State Legislators’ commitment to improving the state’s economic climate and performance by scoring their support for key business legislation during the 2012 Legislative Session.
“During the past two years, my colleagues and I in the Senate worked together with Governor Cuomo to pass meaningful legislation aimed at real economic development,” said Senator Larkin. “We have sent a clear message that New York State is open for business. I am proud to be recognized by The Business Council for our efforts.”
Senators and Assembly members were rated for their stance on fifteen pieces of legislation that were considered by The Business Council to have a significant impact, either positive or negative, on New York’s economic climate.
“I look forward to continue working with my colleagues and Governor Cuomo to put New York State back on the path towards prosperity,” said Senator Larkin.
The Business Council is the leading business organization in the state, representing large and small firms. Its membership is made up of thousands of companies, as well as local chambers of commerce and professional and trade associations.
