The New York State Legislature Honors West Point

Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson), a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served 23 years on active duty in the United States Army, today hosted the sixtieth annual "West Point Day" at the New York State Capitol in Albany.

“I am deeply honored to represent the United States Military Academy at West Point in the New York State Senate,” said Senator Bill Larkin.  “The Academy has a long history of bringing out the best in individuals and the cadets visiting us today are shining examples of this successful tradition.  I applaud them for their dedication and commitment to our country and I thank them for their sacrifices,” said Larkin.

To commemorate the Academy's visit, the Senate and Assembly adopted Legislative Resolutions honoring the establishment of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a Proclamation declaring April 26, 2012 as West Point Day in the State of New York.
