Budget Update: Fighting for Middle Class Families
Andrew J Lanza
March 26, 2013
Work is now well underway to try and enact an on-time State Budget by the April 1st deadline.
With this in mind, I wanted to take this opportunity to reinforce my key budget priorities for 2013:
* Providing major tax savings for families through my Family Tax Relief Act;
* Cutting taxes for small businesses across the state to strengthen our economy and help create jobs; and
* Reducing energy bills for every New Yorker and every business.
In addition, I am also fighting to prevent cuts to programs for the developmentally disabled and key initiatives that serve women throughout New York, from important women's health programs, to rape crisis centers.
By working together, I am confident we can deliver an on-time, balanced budget that controls spending, provides tax relief, and protects the key priorities valued by our families and our community.
As I continue working to achieve these goals, feel free to visit my website lanza.nysenate.gov or find me on Facebook (Andrew J. Lanza) to keep up-to-date on key developments related to the budget.
