Students at East Lake Elementary School in Massapequa recently collected toys for Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr.’s annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive. Senator Fuschillo visited the school to pick up the toys and thank the students for their efforts.
“It is wonderful that the students at East Lake Elementary School worked so hard once again to collect toys for other children who are in need of some extra cheer. They are going to make lots of other boys and girls very, very happy, and they should be very proud of their efforts,” said Senator Fuschillo (R-Merrick).
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive that Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center. East Lake students collected new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. These toys will be delivered to the hospital after the holidays so that children can experience the joys of receiving a new toy after the holiday season and throughout the year.
