Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Old Mill Road Elementary School in North Merrick to thank students and staff for once again participating in his “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive that Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center. Old Mill Road students collected new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. These toys will be delivered to the hospital after the holidays so that children can experience the joys of receiving a new toy after the holiday season and throughout the year.
“I really appreciate Old Mill Road Elementary School students doing such a great job collecting toys for ‘Extend the Holidays.’ They are going to make many, many children in Winthrop Hospital very happy. They should be very proud of the job they did,” said Senator Fuschillo.
