Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Copiague Middle School to congratulate 6th grade students Natalia Kacala and Claudia Arevalo for participating in the Senate’s Earth Day Poster Contest.

Both Natalia and Claudia’s entries focused on the importance of “reducing, reusing, and recycling” in order to protect the environment. Natalia’s entry was chosen as a first place winner in the contest and was displayed in the State Legislative Office Building in Albany along with those of the other winners from across the state.

Natalia and Claudia’s entries, along with all the other entries from students in Senator Fuschillo’s district, can be viewed by visiting Senator Fuschillo’s website, Fuschillo.nysenate.gov, and clicking on the “Every Day is Earth Day” link on the left side of the page.
