Senator Fuschillo, County Executive Mangano, & Legislator Venditto to Sponsor Property Tax Exemptions Workshop in Massapequa Park

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, and Nassau County Legislator Mike Venditto will be sponsoring a Property Tax Exemption Workshop on Friday, August 23rd from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Massapequa Library (40 Harbor Lane, Massapequa Park). 

     Tax exemption specialists from the Nassau County Department of Assessment will be equipped with computers linked to the county’s database, and property tax exemption applications for Basic STAR, Enhanced STAR, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, veterans, volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians will be processed. Tax exemption specialists will also provide assistance and answer any questions residents have about these exemptions. 

     Homeowners who will be filing for an exemption should bring copies of any documentation that is required for the property tax exemption, including proof of age, proof of residency and proof of income.
